A new national burlesque festival has just been announced and is now accepting applications for performers. Following national trends Chicago has seen an amazing growth in the local burlesque scene. Burlesque performers like Pearl Pistol, Michelle Lamore, Paris Green and Red Hot Annie have been producing more and more shows for larger and larger audiences. The next logical step was for someone to create a festival to spotlight local, national and international acts.
The show will be co produced by the longest running Burlesque show in Chicago The Belmont Burlesque Revue and the incredibly prolific Vaudezilla burlesque productions. This burlesque festival aims to educate as well as entertain by offering workshops and classes where burlesque dancers can network and the general public can learn everything from making burlesque costumes including pasties to choosing a stage name to the erotic art dancing with a feather boas!
